Ruth Steele Obituary

Ruth Edna (Donnelly) STEELE Born February 12, 1925, Seattle, died April 28, 2008, Edmonds. Ruth's life centered around her family and her faith. With her husband, Jerry, being a Marine chief engineer, and often away from home, Ruth assumed responsibility for caring for the children. Everyone who met Ruth soon came to know her for being the best listener and confidant and to admire and respect her faith and incredible generosity. She was a charter member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynnwood, WA. Ruth is survived by: her sons Mike (Marilyn), Dwight (Janie), Tim (Jill), Paul (Evelyn) and Peter Steele; her daughter, Christine Steele; brothers Edward and George Donnelly; as well as 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Jerry M. Steele and son, Daniel J. Steele; her sisters, Virginia, Betty, Sarah, Mary, Ann and Alice and her brother, Peter. Viewing at Evergreen-Washelli on Wednesday, May 7, from 10:00 a.m. until informal Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Lynnwood, on Thursday, May 8th at 11:00 a.m. with Committal Ceremony at Holyrood Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to www.foodlifeline.org or 1-800-404-7543
