I have so many good memories of Steve and me while at SU together. It would be impossible to tell them all. Steve,[ (Michael) I'll call him Steve because I'm old school if I may] was my Commanding Officer in SU and he made me the Commander of his Special Brigade. I was 3rd in Command. When I would see him at the Olympic Hotel I would cry out...."Michael" you were the best CO I ever had. That smile would appear and it was the best. Our family is 5th generation Seattle and we always had a lot to share. I didn't see him often. My building was by the Westin. I was a Trader Vic Westin boy!!
We both loved Winston Churchill and would compare stories we read. We shared our successes.
I will miss knowing he is not around. He is in God's hands now; a life worth giving and an award worth receiving.
