What a sad day it was to learn of Steve's passing. I worked with Steve on the Xian Aircraft contract and had many a good time traveling to Hong Kong, Xian and Shanghai. Steve saved me on one of my first trips to China. I was basically lost at an airport and not knowing how to speak Chinese, I really didn't know what to do. I was standing in a crowd of hundreds and just happened to look up and there in front of me was Steve. I stuck to him like glue until I reached our destination.
Steve invited me over to see his new house which was just about finished, I wanted Steve to adopted me right there and then so I could move in, what a beautiful home.
After we retired from Boeing, Steve would surprise me with a call now and then just to keep in touch. With all the friends he had, I was surprised he took the time to contact me. Steve showed me many a good time which I will always cherish. My heart goes out to Susan and all his family.

So many wonderful memories of my youth spent with you dad...fishing, skiing, boating, traveling, playing sports. Hoping to share all these experiences with Oscar and Emilie. They and I miss you dearly. Love, Bryan

Dear Wong family here are my condolences reflecting upon Seteve's passing. He was a true friend as we "grew up together" as Industrial Engineering nepphytes at Boeing/Renton. Steve kept in touch even after I left Boeing, primarily to have a reunion with another colleague the Norwegian Jon Stensacker. I remember Steve's hearty laughter and his intellect as we embarked on various IE adventure together (thank goodness I was on his team). A friendly outgoing personality that held no grudge or bad feelings. We did renew acquaintences when he happened to attend a trade mission to China whe he was advising a Boeing VP and I was representin g my then employerthe Port of Tacoma. Steve was his ever erudite self on that occasion and he carried the day for that VP. We did see each other as he hosted another retur n to Seattle od our friend Jon. By the way, Steve was my only contact with Jon, if y9u have access to Steve's address book (phone/e-mail) I would appreciate learning of such so I may keep in touch. My blessing's for your soon recovery from this time of grievance of your loved one. Steve was a gentle and generoud person whoise memory will not diminish anytime soon.
My love and condolences.
