Stirling Cook Obituary

Stirling P. COOK Stirling Cook passed away March 16th at the age of 94. She wasborn in Seattle to John and Hazel MacEwell and attended Roosevelt High School and the University of Washington. Stirling was proud to be a 50 year member of the Eastern Star-Greenwood Chapter and the Daughters of the Nile drill team. One of Mom's special memories was with the drill team travels to California and the life long friends made on the team. Mom was a long time resident of Ballard and worked many years at Childrens Hospital as a bookkeeper. She was proud of her work there and continued her interest in supporting children by volunteering well into her retirement at the Discovery shop on Roosevelt Way. Our Mother was a strong and dignified woman who enjoyed her children and grandchildren and will be missed for her quiet wisdom and humor. The family would like to thank Anna and Daniel at the adult family home for Mom's wonderful care. Stirling is survived by her son Gary Cook (Lisa) and daughter Jeanette Kelley. Grandchildren Sharon Roberts (Bryan) and Lisa (Brent) Wright. Great-grandchildren Cammi and Cason all of Texas. At her request there will be no service.
