Donny, I'm so sorry to hear of Suzie's death. Suzie had found me on facebook in early July and I was excited to re-connect with her...... I will have wonderful memories of our younger years together, she was one of a kind. I know you will miss her and that this is a difficult time for you and your family. Your loss is great, leaving an empty place in your heart and in your life. I hope your memories will give you comfort. You have my deepest sympathies.

DJ - I am so sorry to hear about Susie. I just found out. I wish I could have been there for you last Friday but I am here for you now. Although I hadn't seen Susie for sometime, I will always remember her smile, laugh and that sense of humor. She was a fun loving person who enjoyed life. I know you are hurting now but in time the hurt will be replace by good memories and the tears will be replaced by smiles. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.

To the Jones family,

I am so sorry to hear of Susie's passing. I have nothing but great memories of her. Everybody loved her and she was a friend to all.

When I saw her after her cancer diagnosis, I was expecting her to be sad and depressed. But, I was wrong. She was the normal happy and positive Susie that she's always been her whole life! She acted as if nothing bad was happening even though I knew she was worried and in pain. I'll never forget how brave and courageous she was.

Susie, I will miss you!!

To The Jones Family:
I too will forever miss Jonesie. She was such an UPBEAT person that always had a huge smile and a laugh to go along with it. "Susie if you can hear me ... I was pulling for you girl. You were in such positive spirits after your transplant I thought everything would be okay for much longer."

I'm sorry I can not attend the funeral on Friday as I am out of town but I wanted to extend my deepest sympathy to the family.

Dear Donny, Jeff, Mike and Family,
I was so sorry to hear about our dear Susie. She had the amazing ability to talk a mile a minute, change subjects at a blink of the eye, laughing so hard all the while and I could not help laughing too even when I wasn't quite sure what I was laughing about. She was fun, zany, courageous and just "Susie" - one of a kind. She will be missed and remembered with great fondness and affection. And she knew how lucky she was to have each of you as her brothers!

Donny, Jeff and Mike and family

The Jones family is "legendary" on Beacon Hill and probably citywide as well. I know Susie touched a lot of lives and made people smile wherever she was. So sorry to hear of her passing at so young an age. I can remember her as "little Susie Jones" from St. George's with her big eyes and wide smile. Such a tight knit family, and so much fun. The parties over the summer in the backyard of Jack and Evelyn's house. Everyone was there, laughing, having fun, eating, playing games. Susie will be missed very much by all of us. May God bless you all in this time of sorrow. In spite of all the tears, I'm going to try and remember the good times, too. She would want that.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Susie's passing. We became good friends on the Journal staff at CHS and shared a ton of laughs in Bravo's class. Susie had a great sense of humor and kept me laughing each time we ran into each other over the years. I miss you, Jonesy.

Dear Jones Family ~

I was so sad to read of the passing of Susie in the Times today. We have been friends since Cleveland High. I've been in contact with her via email and visited her at that Queen Anne nursing home where I met Mas. I last saw her at the UW Hospital after she had her stem cell surgery. She was so happy to be going home that day.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

With deepest sympathy ~

Mike, Jeff & Don -

I just read the email Paige forwarded to me from Jeff about Susie's passing. My siblings are scattered all over the country & beyond, but this brings us all back to "the hill". Susie was loved by all who knew her, and no words can clear away the ache of such a loss. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Donny, Jeff, Mike and family,

I am so very saddened by the news I just received. As you know, there was a time when Susie was a best friend. I regret not keeping in touch with her beyond High School or reconnecting with her in these later years. (She was not at the reunions, and I don't yet have Facebook.) Oh, I hope Susie knew how much our years of friendship have meant to me (and others).
Me, Susie, June, Sharon, etc...we were so close and had such a blast while at Cleveland. Susie was very popular and a friend to all. I remember our good times on the Journal news staff with Mrs. Bravo - Susie wrote "Little Bit from the Idiot" and it was hilarious. We once co-coached a girl's softball team at Mercer field, and the girls really looked up to Susie. She was sooo 'cool'!
And then there were the parties - so many fun times, too many to list. Susie loved life! We had many good times at your mom and dad's too. I'm sorry I wasn't there at the time of their passing. Judy, Pete and I also lost our parents, and I can only say 'thank God we have our memories, friends, and family'! May these thoughts, prayers, and memories of dear Susie help you through these difficult times.

'Mayer'

I am very sorry to hear about the passing of Susie. We had talked on Facebook not too long ago and it was great to hear from her. To Susie's family:
I am so saddened to hear about Susie's passing. We went to St. George together, doing the whole Girl Scout thing, sports, etc., then were friends at Cleveland. I had lost touch with her, but we were able to reconnect on Facebook, where I learned about her illness. We kept making plans to get together, and had even made plans that last weekend to go to the Ballard Seafood Fest. She was such a trouper in the face of her illness, and never gave up hope. She was so lucky to have such a loving and supportive family. I was so lucky to reconnect with her again after many years. Heaven has a new angel, and a bright light has left this world. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Mike, Jeff , Donny and families: I had been in contact with Susie in July and though aware of her situation - was still hopeful she would pull through. Even in dire times her humor and courage was inspiring. The long association and memories of those great parties in your folks yard will make me smile when I think of her and those times. My heartfelt condolences to all of you during this very close to home loss.
