Age 22, died Saturday April 1, 2017. Born in Boulder, CO October 8, 1994.
He leaves his mother Vera Richardson, sister Claire Richardson, father Jim Richardson.
He was: Airman First Class Vaughn Alexander Richardson US Air Force SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Specialist) Instructor. Graduated from 66th Training Squadron, Class 16-01, 336th Training Group, 58th Special Operations Wing, Fairchild AFB, WA...and he was so much more. Alex was an artist and loved oil painting. He once said he would sleep under a bridge if he had to as long as he could do his art.

I had the privilege of knowing Vaughn when he was a darling little boy. He was so bright and enthusiastic. I remember decorating the gingerbread house we had made and saying to him how I had no idea how to make the color brown from the four food coloring vials. We needed it for the brown path. His reply was "Phyllis, all you need to do is mix the three primary colors". We did and we got our brown icing.. Whenever I see a rainbow now I will be reminded of this wonderful human being who brightened my life.

The loss of a child has no measure. I lost one who went homeless but he came back. You lost one forever. I so grieve with you, Vera!
