Wayne Olsen Obituary

Wayne S. Olsen

With deep sorrow, Wayne S. Olsen unexpectedly died on April 4, 2016.

Wayne was born and raised in Seattle. He was the first graduating class of Shoreline High school in 1958.

In 1958, he joined the Air Force and held the highest level of security clearance during the Bay of Pigs and beyond for our country. This position brought him to many countries including Turkey and Italy.

Wayne held managerial positions in the I. T. departments for many years. This included Snohomish County PUD. While working at PACCAR, in the 1990's he led his team to create a program changing the year 1999 to the new millennium.

Wayne retired from AT&T in Redmond in 2006.

His enjoyment was golfing at Blue Boy in Monroe as well as marshaling at Echo Falls for many years.

Wayne was a man who loved his wife, children and grandchildren unconditionally.

He was a member and chair for many committees in Trilogy in Redmond WA. Wayne was a past member of Lake City Elks Lodge, past president of the International Information Technology Organization and a current member of West side Italian Club as well as Trilogy's Italian Interest Club.

His favorite place to travel were Cannon Beach, Lake Chelan, and Italy.

He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Sharon Taylor Olsen; his sister, Donna Gardner, his daughters' Kellee Krouse (David), and Shawna Renando. His endearing grandchildren, Justin, Shayna, Chandler, and Caitlyn; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Miss you Daddy. I think of you daily and know you are looking down on us and are so proud of the man Justin has become. I have reconnected with Shayna. That would have made you so happy. You knew how much i missed her. Shayna has a sweet baby, Lawson, and he looks like you did at that age. Sorry you are missing so much. I love you to heaven and beyond. You are my dragonfly, that watches over me

I'm so sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I worked with him for several years at AT & T, where he was a wonderful, loyal friend and project manager. He never stopped talking about how much he loved his wife, his girls and grandkids, and his granddog. To Sharon and family - I know this must be such a terrible loss. God bless during this sad time.
