Wes Fisk was larger than life. To say he had a strong personality is an understatement. Wes filled any room he entered with love and positive energy. He inspired everyone around him to seize the day and enjoy life to the fullest. Wes was a loyal friend and could be counted on during the most difficult times. Wes' love for his wife, Rhetta, and son, Calvin, was boundless. HIs sense of humor was hilarious and kept everyone in stitches. I've been thinking about him recently as I paint the outside of my house because Wes and I painted the first house I owned - he did the high parts and I did the lower sections because I have a fear of heights - haha! Wes was a generous soul, a steady friend and a trusted advisor. He was godfather to our children and would have been their guardian if anything happened to us. That is how much we valued his friendship. Our lives will always have been richer because of Wes' friendship. We miss him and value all the wonderful memories. It was so sad when he passed, especially thinking about Rhetta and Calvin carrying on without Wes. But they have done just what Wes would have wanted, which is to live life to the fullest. Much love to the entire Fisk family and condolences for such a great loss with Wes' passing.

Rhetta,
I´m unsure if you still see messages left here but in honor of Wes and the many smiles he brought to my face as a kid as my godfather, I named my son Myles Wesley Nyquist on 12/15/21. :) I´d love to reconnect sometime so you can meet him. Sending so much love to you and your family today, Wes was the best and we miss him dearly!

To the Fisk family, I was saddened to hear of Wesley's passing, I knew him from many years ago playing in the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra. I was an Oboe player at that time and a Ballard High alum also. Over time, a lot of good musicians have come from Ballard High and Wesley was certainly was one of them. He will be sadly missed. My prayers go with your family....Respectfully, Joel Menold Springdale, Arkansas

Rhetta,
I waited too late to search for Wesley and it breaks my heart to have found this news. Wes was a good friend to my brother, Dan. Spent many an hour in great laughter, as well as, enjoyment listening to Wes play in the symphony. I am so sad for you and your family's loss. As I am sure Wes had known, my brother has been missing for several years. Perhaps they are enjoying each others company again.

Rhetta, Calvin and family,
We were so sorry to learn of Wes's passing. Adria heard the sad news today. He was always a friendly presence at school and on field trips over the years. He was kind to share his time and talents with the Loyal Heights community.
We are thinking of you, and wishing you strength and comfort.

Wesley, I will truly miss seeing you at UPC. I have fond memories of playing violin together in the University of Washington Symphony Orchestra under Dr. Stanley Chappel. Then I didn't see you for a long time. What a blessing you were welcoming me Sunday mornings at UPC, always with a smile. It was lovely to meet your wife Rhetta.
I am so glad you had a good many years to play violin in the Seattle Symphony.
Rhetta, I'm so sorry for your loss, and I pray the Holy Spirit comfort you deeply.

I knew Wesley for many years and one of the things we had in common was that we both played violin. He was a gentle, kind, friendly man and always had a smile and a hug for me. He will be missed. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm very sorry to hear the news of Wesley's passing. He was a great friend of mine since the early sixties. I met him through his brother Jerry, who was also a great friend. I didn't realize he was a "weather nut", but I'm sure he was excellent at it. My wife and I saw and heard him play with the Symphony. Our condolences to his family.
