Ada Walters Obituary

Ada Leona Walters, 83, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on Friday, August 27, 2023, at Rest Haven Convalescent Home in Sedalia. She was born on July 3, 1940, in Hanford, CA, the daughter of Roy Dillon and Dolly (Marquess) Dillon, who preceded her in death.
In January of 1963, she was united in marriage to John W. Greer, who preceded her in death in 2003.
Leona worked as a dishwasher at Garst Drive-In and as a nurse aide for Campbell Nursing Home in Sedalia before marriage. After marriage, Leona was a homemaker. She attended Parkview Christian Church before entering Rest Haven Nursing Home.
Survivors include a brother, Matt Dillon (Sue) of Independence, MO, and a sister, Dolly Cobb of Sedalia.
In addition to her husband and parents, Leona was preceded in death by three brothers, Walter Dillon, James Leroy Dillon, Jr., and Leroy E. Dillon; four sisters, Ethel Hackler, Alma Ruth Dillon, Helen L. Dowdy, and Loretta Rosendale.
Leona's wishes were to be cremated and no formal services held.
Inurnment of Leona's cremains will be in Highland Sacred Gardens along with her nephew, James Dillon.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Show-Me Christian Youth Home or Parkview Christian Church in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
