Chris Edward Toalson

1959 - 2023

Chris Edward Toalson, 64, of Lincoln, MO, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at Boone Hospital in Columbia, MO. He was born on January 26, 1959, in Mexico, MO to Raymond Palmer Toalson and Ruth Miller (Nichols) Toalson, who preceded him in death.
On December 3, 1982, Chris was united in marriage to Penny Lynn Stuart in Thompson, MO. Chris worked as a Plant Controller for Waterloo Industries for fifteen years. He then went on to be an insurance agent at Missouri Farm Bureau up until he retired in 2018. Chris was an active community member, serving on various boards and helping coach many little league baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball teams, as well as coaching several competitive traveling teams. When Chris was not on the ball field, he enjoyed bowling, playing golf, fishing, hunting, and playing cards. Chris was an avid bird hunter and loved raising and training his bird dogs. He was a proud papa to five grandchildren. He found great joy in showing them how to barbeque, teaching them all about baseball, golf and how to bait a hook.
Along with his wife, Chris is survived by, a son, Nicholas Toalson and wife Kayla, of Clinton, MO; a daughter, Nicole (Toalson) Silvey and husband Andrew, of Cole Camp; five grandchildren, Reign, Palmer, Addilyn, Mason, and Hugh; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents and many aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2023, at Grace Fellowship Church in Cole Camp, MO, with Pastor Tanner Wiley officiating.
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Fellowship Church in Cole Camp.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
