Cody said something to me once that I have carried with me for a long, long time. When I was an obnoxious, rebellious teenager I visited with Cody for awhile at a party, pretty soon he said You're Lanny's boy, ain't you? I said that I was, Cody then told me he thought my Dad was a good man. In my teenage mind I thought that was absurd and told Cody that I couldn't see that. Cody being Cody pulled no punches and told me point blank That's because you're an idiot. How right he was and I always respected that about him. As I cared for my Dad as his health deteriorated and he eventually passed I thought of Cody's words to me that day. My heart goes out to all the family. Stanley and Travis and all their bunch. My family and I will be praying that GOD will give you guys the strength to walk through this time. GOD bless you all!
