Robert Rages Obituary
He was a lifelong farmer in Morgan County. Robert graduated from Smithton High School in 1962. He then attended Central Missouri State University, where he graduated with a B.S. degree in Agriculture Business. On November 25, 1966, he married Dorothy Joann Leiter at Goodwill Chapel Methodist Church in Sedalia.
His wife and four sons survive: Nathan Rages (Lorri) of Columbia, MO, Mark Rages (Vivara) of Bettendorf, IA, Brian Rages (Rebekah) of St Louis, MO, and Chris Rages (Angela) of Sedalia, MO.
Also surviving are 11 loving grandchildren: Julia Rages, Hudson Rages, Jacob Rages (Emma), Stanley Rages, Melody Rages, Will Rages, Michael Rages, Martyn Rages, Abel Rages, Audrey Rages, and Rachel Rages.
In 1972, the Lord intervened in his life and he was born again to serve the Living God for the rest of his days. He was a founding member of Faith Fellowship in Sedalia, MO. Robert loved the Lord and reading Charles Spurgeon's sermons. He enjoyed using vintage tractors.
Robert was a hard-working farmer who will be missed by all those who knew this gentle, kind, and faithful man.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2023, at Heckart Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2023, at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be grandsons: Hudson Rages, Jacob Rages, Stanley Rages, Will Rages, Michael Rages, and Martyn Rages.
Burial will be in Smithton Cemetery following the funeral service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Faith Fellowship Building Fund in the care of Heckart Funeral Home.

My thoughts are with the family at this time. Bob was a kind and gentle spirit who didn't seem to mind raucous music coming from his tractor barn during high school jam sessions with his boys. RIP old friend - Los Angeles, CA

Sorry to hear about Bob´s passing Joann and family. He was my junior high science teacher many years ago and I really liked him then. Later as we both came to know Christ I was impressed with his gentle and sincere love for Christ and people. God comfort you and the family with His Spirit and Word going forward. You are in my prayers.
