GRAND RAPIDS -- Daniel Potter, age 61, of Grand Rapids, Ohio passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. He was born on January 31, 1964, to the late William and Shirley (Miller) Potter. He married Rose "Charm" (Meyers) Potter on January 27, 1990, who survives in Grand Rapids.
Daniel was known for his hard work and dedication to farming, a life and career he truly enjoyed. He took pride in cultivating the same land that his family has occupied since 1863. Dan was at his happiest when could lend a helping hand to a friend, family member or neighbor in need. He enjoyed watching dirt-track racing, and looked forward to happy hour as a time to unwind, catch up with friends, and enjoy the simple pleasures of good company and a cold drink. Above all, he loved his family and friends and cherished the time spent with them. Dan never met a stranger, his helpful, kind-hearted, affable personality shined through to every person that crossed his path.
Along with his beloved wife, Rose, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage, Daniel is survived by his son William L. (Allison) Potter of Weston, Ohio, and his uncles Tom (Kathy) and Bob (Mary) of Weston. He will forever live on in the hearts of his scores of friends that he considered to be family.
He is finally reunited in heaven his parents, grandparents and close friends Tim Sautter and Eric Walls.
Visitation will be held Monday, September 22, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. His funeral service will be held Tuesday September 23, 2025 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Weston Fire Department and EMS for their support throughout the years, and especially in this time.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Weston Emergency Medical Service and Fire Department.
