FOSTORIA -- Doris I. Lahman, age 91, of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Fostoria. She was born on July 18, 1934, in Fostoria, to the late William & Natilla A. (Klotz) Gaskalla. Doris first married Donald Keith Roberts, and they later divorced. She then married Harry Lahman on May 25, 1991, and he preceded her in passing on December 9, 2021.
Surviving Doris are her daughters, Teri Sue (Greg) Goodman of Port Clinton, Ohio, Lisa (Mike) Mitchell of Fostoria, Ohio; step-sons, Harry (Karen) Lahman III of Helena, Ohio, Charles (Teresa) Lahman of Gibsonburg, Ohio, Ronald (Kim) Lahman of Brunswick, Ohio, David (Jenny) Lahman of Bowling Green, Ohio; step-daughters, Cindy (Jim) Rossow of Bowling Green, Ohio, Victoria (Magiel) Haskins of Spring Lake, North Carolina, Annette Lentz of Raeford, North Carolina, Kelly (Rick) Engle of Bowling Green, Ohio; daughters-in-law Patti & Lori Roberts, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Lahman; sons, Michael & Garry Roberts.
Doris retired from the former Autolite Spark Plug Plant in Fostoria, was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, and a love for camping, traveling, and gardening. She was an avid Ohio State Buckeye, Cleveland Indians, and Cleveland Browns fan, and had a passion for cross stitch. Her greatest love in life though was spending time with her family, especially all of her loving grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 11-1 on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin on Friday, at 1 PM with Pastor Jared Capelle officiating. Burial will be at Scott Trinity Cemetery, with a bereavement luncheon to follow at the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in Bradner.
Memorial donations may be made to the Cascades at Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria, or the Alzheimer's Association Toledo Chapter.
