Eli Martin Obituary
LUCKEY -- Eli W. Martin, age 101, of Luckey, OH, passed away at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, OH on Saturday, December 2, 2023. He was born in Lancaster County, PA on March 9, 1922 to Henry and Mary (Weaver) Martin. He would go on to meet and marry Mary Martin on January 6, 1989. Eli and Mary would celebrate 27 years of marriage together until Mary's passing in August of 2016. In his working years, Eli was a farmer.
Eli is survived by his brother-in-law Paul Martin of Luckey, caregiver Barb Barva of Luckey, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, and 5 sisters.
Family and friend will be received 10-11 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2023 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 W. Main Street Luckey, OH with a funeral service beginning at 11 am. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Pelfrey. Following the funeral service Eli will be laid to rest at Troy Township Cemetery. A funeral luncheon will follow the committal services at Emmanual Freewill Baptist Church on Gilbert Road in Luckey, OH. In lieu of flowers the family requests that expressions of sympathy in can be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
