Karen Smith Obituary

WAYNE -- Karen J. Smith, age 65, of Wayne, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 15, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at the Fostoria Community Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1958, in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late Ernest & Maxine (Franks) Smith.

Surviving Karen are her brothers, Marvin Smith of Risingsun, Dale Smith, Roger Smith both of Wayne, Norman (Norma) Smith of Rudolph, Kenneth (Sally) Smith of Risingsun; brother-in-law, Butch Corbin of Bradner. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest & Maxine; brothers, Darol, Ervan, Ronald; sisters, Barbara Smith, Donna Corbin; and sister-in-law, Kristi Smith.

Karen had a love for knitting, working on crossword and book puzzles, and spending time with her family and friends.

Friends will be received from 11 AM – 1 PM on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will begin on Wednesday at 1 PM with Pastor Tamara Bennett officiating. Burial will be at Wingston Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to Karen's family. Online condolences can be sent to Karen's family at www.barndtfuneralhome.org..
