BOWLING GREEN -- Ronald Bradley Simpson, 67, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away on Sunday July 7, 2024. He was born on February 12, 1957, to the late Kenneth and Clara Gayle (Goudy) Simpson in Wheeling, West Virginia.
Ronald "Brad" was often called "Smiley" by those who knew him and his pet name for almost everyone was "Trouble." Brad loved pizza, cheeseburgers, animals and everything Disney. For most of his life, he was the goodwill ambassador of Warwood, West Virginia. He enjoyed listening to country music, his favorite country artists were Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, and Reba McEntire. He had a penchant for pushing buttons randomly and adjusting the temperature in the house to "Brad degrees" and for disassembling items such as his hearing aids. He liked to do laundry, mow the yard, and care for his neighbor's cats and dogs. Brad was a real support for his mother and father in their later years.
He is survived by his brothers, Gregg (Sue Clanton) Simpson of Weston, Ohio, Bruce Simpson of Columbus, Ohio, Wayne Simpson of Reinholds, Pennsylvania, nieces Katie (Andrew Moore) Simpson of Grovetown, Georgia, Morgan Simpson of Greensboro, North Carolina, Gayle Simpson of Lebanon, Pennsylvania, nephew Matthew Simpson of Myerstown, Pennsylvania and special friend, Suzanne Miller, Wheeling, West Virginia.
Donations in Brad's memory may be made to Russell Nesbitt Services\WATCH in Wheeling, West Virginia or to the service providers utilized by Brad in the Bowling Green, Ohio area (Wood County Board of Developmental Disabilities, the Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio or ViaQuest)
The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at these services who provided for Brad over the years.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home located in the Historical District of Bowling Green, Ohio located at 408 W. Wooster St. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Kepner Funeral Home, Burke Chapel, 2101 Warwood Avenue, in Wheeling, West Virginia.
