BOWLING GREEN -- Vicki Lea Harris, 78, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. Born on December 12, 1946, in Toledo, Vicki was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend who left an indelible mark on the lives of those who knew her. She married Michael Harris on September 5, 1970 and he preceded her in death.
Vicki graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1964 and went on to earn an administrative assistant/secretary certificate from Davis Business College. Her career was highlighted by her tenure at Bowling Green State University (BGSU), where she worked as a secretary and office assistant. Before working at the university she was a part of Glenn Parsons staff at probate court and last worked at Huntington Processing Center.
A woman of many talents, Vicki was passionate about needlepoint, crochet, and knitting, often creating beautiful handmade treasures. She loved being a part of her great-nieces' and great-nephews' sporting events, cheering them on with unwavering support.
Vicki was a lifelong sports enthusiast, proudly holding season tickets for BGSU Hockey since its inception in 1970. She was also a dedicated fan of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, and was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years.
Vicki is survived by her daughter, Erika Harris; brother Guy Wilcox; sister Lisa Stickles; sister-in-law Tammy Wilcox; brother-in-law Jay Harris; and her many cherished nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald G. and Geraldine (Spitler) Wilcox, husband Michael a brother Donald and a sister
Diana.
Visitation for Vicki will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
For those unable to attend the funeral service in person it will livestream via Hanneman Family Funeral Homes Facebook page.
