Eli Spicer Obituary
He was a member of Highland Baptist Church; a Mason with Solomon Lodge # 5 F&AM and Grand Lodge of Kentucky. He was a US Air Force Veteran who served during the Vietnam War and was also a Kentucky Colonel.
He was preceded in death by a son, John Roger Spicer; granddaughter, Hailey S. Cook; parents, Lloyd and Nannie Campbell Spicer; brother, Zorah Spicer; sister, Lois Pearsall.
Survivors include: wife of 49 years, Pat Spicer, Shelbyville; daughters, Lisa Spicer Cook (Keith Waford), Shelbyville; Laura Spicer Carter (Lee), Georgetown, KY; grandchildren, Heather L. Cook, Shelbyville; Eli and Graham Carter, Georgetown, KY; brother, Curtiss T. Spicer (Kay), Bulan, KY; sisters, Sybil Johnson, Tucson, AZ; Joyce Colwell (Lloyd), Yerkes, KY; Amanda K. Reid, Avawam, KY; Mallie F. Clonch (Sam), Beaver Falls, PA; and Pauline S. Farley ( Mike), Tampa, FL.
Funeral service was 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014 at Shannon Funeral Home. Rev. William George and Rev. Chris Pratt officiated. Burial followed in the Grove Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville.
Expressions of Sympathy may be made to the Highland Baptist Church Building Fund 511 Mt. Eden Road Shelbyville, KY 40065.

My heart felt prayers go out to you all. Mr. Spicer gave me my first loan to buy a car and remember that as well wen he would come pick Heather up from daycare May god get you through this time.
