Joyce Melton Obituary
SIMPSONVILLE
Joyce Marie Ried Melton, age 85 of Simpsonville passed away Oct. 8, 2025.
She enjoyed cooking and her puzzle books. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and loved taking care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Malcolm and Mary Agnes Adler Ried; and her siblings, Donna Ried Montgomery, Stanley Ried and Malcolm Ried, Jr.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Melton; her sons, Mike Eden (Beth), Steve Eden (Cherissa), Jeff Eden (Susan), John Melton, Jr. (Hanna); her daughter, Leigh Ann Kieper (Chris); 11 grandchildren; and her sister, Wanda Ried Heaton.
Funeral services will be held Oct. 13, at 11 a.m. at the Shannon Funeral Home. Burial will be in Simpsonville Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Simpsonville Masonic Cemetery, P. O. Box 283, Simpsonville, KY 40067.
