Funeral services for Betty Sue Neighbors, 78, of Muldrow, will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025, at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow. Burial will follow at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on Oct. 6, 1946 in Fort Smith, Ark., to Susie M. (Morgan) Earls and Claude Earls and passed away on Thursday, Aug. 28, 2025, in Fort Smith.
She was married to Roy Dean Neighbors on Nov. 3, 1980, in Fort Smith. Betty worked at Riverside and retired from Mac Steel.
Survivors are husband, Roy of the home; one daughter, Tashaa Harris and Jack of Muldrow; one son, Bryan McKenzie and Tracy of Muldrow; nine grandchildren, Ashley McKenzie of Fort Smith, Eli Chaser of Tulsa, Bayleigh Davenport and Jake of Mountainburg, Ark., Joe Bryce McKenzie of Ozark, Ark., McKenzie Chaser of Muldrow, Allie Harris of Muldrow, Jackson Harris of Muldrow, Braxton Dale McKenzie of Muldrow and Candace Cook of Gans; five great-grandchildren, Junior Smith, Mari West, Kalia Steele, Graycee Fargo and Crew Shell; one great-great-grandchild, Elani Jackson; and other relatives and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Billie Rose and great-grandchild, Wyatt Davenport.
Active pallbearers will be Eli Chaser, Joe Bryce McKenzie, Jackson Harris, Braxton Dale McKenzie, Mari West and Loren Matthews.
Honorary pallbearers will be her "cronies" from Mac Steel, Bill Williams, Gary Don Masterson, Jim Mackey, Chris Cross, Billy Wilson, David Crowley and Paul Sharp.
Viewing will be 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church in Muldrow where the family will greet from 3 to 8 p.m.
