A Celebration of Life Service for Brian Southern, 43, of Gans, Oklahoma will be 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Wheeler Event Center in Sallisaw. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Southern was born on Jan. 19, 1980, in Newton, Kan. to Maryellen (Corona) Southern and Bobby Ray Southern. He passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023, in Little Rock, Ark.
He was married to Christina Kay Owens on Aug. 1, 1998, in Gans.
Brian was a contractor and of the Catholic faith. He loved fishing, hunting, working on cars, riding his Harley and spending time with his grand kids.
Survivors are wife, Christina Southern of the home; two sons, Jacob Southern and Alyssa of Gans and Caleb Southern of Gans; three grandchildren, Gunner, Jaxtyn and Kegan Southern, all of Gans; mother, Maryellen Southern of Newton; one sister, Amber Skye of Newton; three brothers, Bill Southern and Sandy of Newton, Michael Southern and Christi of Newton and Bobby Southern and Tiffany of Newton; special friends, Paul Wayne Brunk and Wilma Mae Brunk; four-legged companions, Sadie and Dumas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Justin Stevenson; and grandparents, Lupe and Helen Corona;
Honorary pallbearers will be Jacob Southern, Caleb Southern, Gunner Southern, Jaxtyn Southern, Kegan Southern, Daniel Brunk and James Woodruff.
Brian would appreciate everyone wearing blue to the memorial service in his honor.
