Martha Cotney Obituary

Martha Olive 'Marty' Cotney
Aug. 29, 1942 - March 23, 2026

Martha Olive "Marty" Cotney (née Snow) lived a life defined by service and a giving heart. Born on Aug. 29, 1942, in San Diego, Martha passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026 in Claremore.
A woman of strong character, Martha's journey took a defining moment when she enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. It was during her service that she met her husband of 55 years, Charles C. Cotney. The two were married in San Diego on Sept. 14, 1961, a marriage that spanned decades until Charles's passing in 2016.
Martha was well regarded for her thoughtfulness, always remembering a loved one's birthday and first for sending Christmas cards. She never met a stranger and found great joy in giving to others.
Martha was also preceded in death by her husband Charles Cecil Cotney; father, Louis Alvin Snow; mother, Veona Ann (Gorsuch) Snow; and six siblings.
She is survived by her three children, Sherry Collins and husband, Kelly, Mark Cotney and wife, Carla and Hank Cotney and wife, Leichelle; brother-in-law, Larry Sisco; and many nieces and nephews. Her gentle progeny carries on through her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom were gifted with the example of a woman who loved unconditionally.
We thank God for the blessing of her life - "Good show!"
