Richard "Scott" Platte, 68 of Prescott Valley, died January 8th, 2021, from Covid 19 complications. No services held per Scott's request.

Survivors include his husband David Waters, his sister Jody Becker, his brother Bob Platte, sister n law, Carol (Joe Shurig). Nieces & Nephews; Danielle, Jessica, & Madeleline Urso, Aysia, Calab, & Kiana Platte, Susan & Darwin Shurig, Franklin Myers Jr, Scott Hornby, and Sheila Hornby-Moore & families. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Jean Korbik Platte.

Scott was born January 28, 1952, in Clintonville, WI. He met the love of his life David Waters when he moved to San Francisco in 1982 where they became domestic partners. They were wed August 26, 2008. Scott's love of education was proven with his separate bachelor's degrees from University of Wisconsin and University of Colorado, and Associate degree from San Francisco City College. Scott worked for Wells Fargo Bank 37 yrs, retiring December 2019.

Scott loved his family, friends and their beloved dog, Ruby. Scott was loved by all and respected by his peers. His kindness, love and sense of humor will be greatly missed by all.

David, still after a year, we are heartbroken. We absolutely loved loved Scott. You are both considered family. We cherish the love and fun times the four of us shared and the laughs were the best. We have nothing but beautiful memories of Scott. Boy, did he make a mean lemon drop martini!! Now you have a sweet angel watching over you and Ruby. Love you... Geni and Richard
