Adela Zuniga Obituary

Adela R. Zuniga August 31, 1910-March 25, 2011 Passed away on March 25th at the age of 100. She was preceded in death be her beloved husband Humberto Zuniga and her cherished son, Salvador Najarro. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Dora (Agusto) Aranda and Sonia (Paul) Tula. Adela also leaves behind 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends...she will be dearly missed by all. Adela arrived in San Francisco in 1944 to create a better life for her family and children and immediately fell in love with the charms of the city. She entered the work force as a seamstress and held other industrial positions. Adela's passions included; music, dancing, listening to Frank Sinatra and watching Lawrence Welk. She enjoyed cooking, baking and most of all tending to her garden. Her main love in life was her family and she always looked forward to the holidays when they got together to celebrate. Adela was known to have an open door policy welcoming all of her family and friends any time day or night. She will never be forgotten. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 31st at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. A Rosary/Vigil Service will begin at 7 p.m. also at Duggan's Serra. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 1st at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Church, 221 Valley Street, San Francisco, followed by a Committal at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Old Mission Road, Colma. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Adela R. Zuniga.

Mike and I Yami, send you and your family our deepest condolence at the loss of your mother. Our prayers are with you all and thoughts are with you and how much your mother will be missed.
