Albert Yee Obituary

Albert Yee Left this world and his family on April 24, 2007, after 82 long and well-lived years. He is survived by his 99 year old mother, Anna Lee Chong; wife, Camille Wong; children, Dennis, Bradley, Clifford and Traceyanne Yee; daughters-in-law, Betty Anderson Yee and Joyce Ashizawa-Yee; son-in-law, Frederick Leaf; and goddaughter, Theresa Tong. Al enjoyed seven grandchildren: Bryan Guzman, Skye, Bryce, Shayne, Kameko, Wesley Yee and Spencer Leaf; and one great-grandson, Isaiah Yee. He was the brother to sisters, Betty Cohn, Eleanor Young and Annabelle Lindley. He enjoyed a large extended family including Tongs, Chus, Millers and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A WWII vet, retired for many years as foreman of Geneva Shop for the Muni Railway, Al enjoyed fishing, golf and was a lifelong fan of the Giants and 49er's. He enjoyed trips to Reno and had good fortune in life and in friends. He enjoyed being part of the Wednesday Lunch Group with life long friends. On the occasion of his 80th Birthday, his oldest son said, "my dad taught me a lot of things, but one of the most important things he taught me was how to be a friend." Albert Yee will be greatly missed, fondly remembered and remain living in our hearts. Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Thurs, May 3, 11:30AM at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity.

Camille,

In life, there are a handful of people that we have been blessed to know. Al has been one of these special people. He has left a legacy of generocity, kindness and love. He modeled so much by his goodness in his care for others. We will miss him greatly. We are deeply saddened by his loss but feel so fortunate to have known him and to have shared special times with his family. We send to you and your family much love.

Dear Camille,

We were so sorry to hear about Al's passing. He was such an inspiration to us. We remember him at Fred and Tracey's wedding, and Ying will never forget the Thanksgiving dinner he cooked at Fred and Tracey's house in 2004. That was shortly after Jim left for India and it was so nice for her to be with part of her extended family. We will really miss Al and I imagine that San Francisco will be quite a different place without one its long-time residents.

Dear Auntie Cam and Cousins,
I am so sorry to hear about Uncle. The last time I saw Uncle was at Michelle's wedding last year. He and Autie looked very happy and they both had lots of smiles. He even danced! Mom says that he was able to see all of the kids recently and I'm sure that made him very happy. I imagine you must miss him already but I hope that where he is now, he can play golf and has a line in the water with a fish on the hook.

Love,
Candace and Julia

Dear Auntie Cam, Cousins Dennis, Bradly, and Tracy,
It is times like these that remind me to appreciate my family and friends that are still around. I remember visiting your home when we were young playing and having meals. I remember Uncle Albie having a friendly voice and hearing about his fishing stories. He always asked me "hey Donnie how are you doing?" And how was my father Sam.
I know he went to give food for his mom everyday.
I will always remember him as a very good man.
With our happiness to know him and our sympathies to his friends and family,
Don & Linda Lee
