Alexis Hilary Persyko

Alexis passed away surrounded by family and friends at her home in Marina del Rey of colon cancer at the age of thirty-eight Thursday, August 27th. She is survived by her beloved wife, Nancy Tate, her parents Luita and Art, her brother David and many loving friends and family members. She was a devoted and loyal friend who would go to any lengths to support and advocate for those she cared about. She was a gentle, kind and radiant spirit who recognized and acknowledged the uniqueness of each person who was lucky enough to meet her. Alexis was a much admired and respected awards consultant at Paramount, Disney and Sony Pictures where she met her wife Nancy. She was intelligent, creative, hard-working and passionate about her life and her profession. Alexis sought out and brought joy into her life and the lives of those around her. We will all miss her amazing smile, her wisdom and her loving, generous spirit. She was the true embodiment of loving kindness.
Alexis was born in Vancouver, British Columbia October 6, 1976. She was raised in Noe Valley and lived in San Francisco until her move to pursue her dreams in Los Angeles ten years ago. She was a great adventurer and hiker who truly loved both her home city and her adopted city and embraced and shared their charms with friends and family. She was our enthusiastic, loving and patient guide. Alexis inspired everyone around her to emulate her sincere daily practice of finding the good in every human being and promoting positivity and joy. There will be a celebration of her life Tuesday, October 6th at 2 p.m. at Temple Emanu-El, Two Lake Street, San Francisco. In lieu of flowers contributions in her honor may be made to www.lovealexisfund.org or www.standup2cancer.org.
