Passed away on November 22, 2023 at the age of 56. Amy was born, an only child, to Richard and Rosemary Messinger on October 18, 1967 in Fremont, OH. Loving mother to her 17-year-old daughter, Mia and life companion to Enrique Palos.
Amy attended Santa Clara High School in Oxnard, Calif. where she graduated with honors as class Valedictorian. Amy continued her education at the University of Calif. Santa Barbara where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and earned a B.A. degree in History.
Shortly after graduating from UCSB, Amy moved to San Francisco and began a career in the moving and storage industry where she worked for over 32 years. Amy was co-owner of Cummings Moving Co., located in South San Francisco, for 18 of those years. A successful and accomplished businesswoman, Amy was well respected for her innovation and volunteer service to the moving and storage industry.
Her greatest passion was being a mother to her daughter, Mia. Amy enjoyed attending her daughter's dance recitals as well as coaching her daughter's elementary school volleyball team for several years. Amy was an incredible friend and colleague to everyone around her, and she cherished spending time with her close circle of chosen family.
Rosary and Funeral mass to be held at St. Gabriel Church on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at 10 a.m. 2559 40th Avenue, San Francisco, Calif. 94116.

Sending our love and deepest sympathies to Mia, Enrique and all of Amy's many friends. Amy was an amazing friend to me and my husband Billy. She was a friend to me at one of the best stages of my life and I am so happy that I got to share so many fun years in her company. My heart was broken when I heard the news and I still can't believe it. My thoughts and prayers are with you Mia and Enrique. I loved every day that I worked with Amy and Enrique and am so sorry that I won't be there in person to help send Amy on her way but I will keep her forever in my heart.

Our deepest condolences to Mia, Enrique, and all of Amy´s family and many friends. This came as a big shock to us all. Since I heard the news, every morning when I wake, the passing of Amy comes into my mind, and I wonder if it´s a bad dream. Amy was a very special part of our family´s life. She was a very special person to me, in business and in friendship. Our loss is heaven´s reward. May Amy rest in peace.
