Amy Alice Solveson, age 56, of Arvada, Colorado passed away on Thursday, August 5, 2021. Amy was born February 7, 1965. She retired from the Palo Alto Unified School District in 2017 and moved to Colorado that year


Amy loved adventure and nature. She enjoyed hiking, surfing, downhill skiing, SCUBA diving, rock climbing, and travel. She also loved her family and friends. We will miss her greatly.


Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Virginia Solveson. She is survived by her two brothers, Walter (Suzy) and Tom; Cousins Mary Lou Zoback (Mark), Don Devore, Gini Young (Pete), Kent Chetlain, and Beth, Paul, and Anna along with nieces Natalie, Marisela, Elizabeth, and nephew, Eric.


Donations may be made to https://www.surfrider.org/support-surfrider on Amy's behalf. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at a private residence in Stanford, California. Please RSVP with a text to Walt Solveson at (563) 650-7726.
