Cherolis
Passed away February 8, 2014, at the age of 69. Beloved husband of Carolynn; loving father of Victoria, Joseph, Michelle, and William; loving Poppy of 9 grandchildren; dear brother of George, Anthony, Mary, and Anna; son of the late Bessie and Nick Cherolis.
Mechanic for 40 years; long time employee of Arata Equipment.
Visitation Thursday 4:30 - 9:00pm with Trisagion Thursday 7:00pm at DUGGAN'S SERRA MORTUARY, 500 Westlake Avenue, D.C. Funeral Service Friday 10:00am at Holy Trinity Church, 999 Brotherhood Way, SF. Interment Skylawn Memorial Park.
Contributions to help defray the funeral expenses are being accepted by Duggan's Serra Mortuary.

I was just reading the obits and came across this. I've always wondered what happened to Andy - we grew up together - the Cherolis family on Avalon and the Shuey Family on Athens. Andy was a year older than me. He hung with Lee Stanfel. Then Anna and Anthony (both since deceased I have heard), George was the oldest and then Mary came last. I remember when Andy went to the car races as a kid and one of the cars hit the side or another car and he was almost in a full body cast for a long time. Anyway we played with the Cherolis family out in the streets and had such fun. I am saddened to learn now of Andy's passing. His family (parents and siblings) were wonderful. I always remember his mom, Bess, scrubbing out the basement floor and waxing it. I hope Andy is at peace now and my condolences to his wife, children and grandchildren. I remember Andy laughing with all of us when Uncle Tony would do his stand up comedy during the holiday dinners. I also remember how kind and thoughtful he was. I am sad, but I believe he will be at peace with those who love him in heaven. Sue (Themoleas) Pierce
