Anita Cabrera Obituary

Anita (Reed) Cabrera

July 21, 1919 - June 2, 2017

Anita Reed Cabrera died peacefully at home on June 2, 2017. Anita was born in Taft, California on July 21, 1919.

She is predeceased by her husband, Charles, after 62 years of marriage. Anita is survived by her sons, Charles (Linda) and Robert (Karen), two grandchildren, Andrew (Mimi) and Amanda, and great granddaughter Quinn.

Anita and Charlie spent many years in South America after marrying and finally settled in Piedmont, California. During their long marriage, Anita and Charlie traveled all over the world; Europe was a favorite destination. Throughout her life, Anita was in many charitable and social organizations. She will be remembered for her grace, elan, and generous spirit, whether at a perfectly prepared luncheon or at a volunteer meeting.

Although handicapped with macular degeneration, she participated in many Seniors Club events where she enjoyed socializing and her passion for music. Anita also liked to golf and play bridge at Claremont Country Club. She will be missed by many.

Anita's family wishes to thank her wonderful caregivers who extended her enjoyment and life for many years.
