ANNA-LISA FROMAN Obituary

Anna-Lisa Froman Anna-Lisa passed away on June 27, 2012 in San Francisco with her loved ones near at hand. She was born in Montana, grew up in Minnesota and moved to San Francisco shortly after marrying Steven Froman in 1981. Devoted to her family and fashion, she landed a job at I. Magnin, later working for the Gap, Levis, Marco Bicego and finally Smythson in London. Travel being a large part of her work, she counted Paris, Milan and London each as home. She was a smart, beautiful, wonderful mother, wife, sister, friend and mentor. We will miss her wit, demand for great style and her regular espresso first thing every morning. She is survived by her husband, Steven Bruce Froman, her children, Jacob Homer and Margaret Molly Olivia, her two sisters Cori-Beth Sherlock and Pamela Larson Sherlock. Private services have been held.

Cori, Pam, & Anna-lisa's family,
We were so very sad to hear of Anna-lisa's passing. She was obviously loved and respected by many--the measure of a life well spent. Whenever we had the chance to visit with Tutti over the years, she always spoke of her family with great love and pride. We are so sorry for your loss. Take care, Klare

The world was a little more loving, kind, happy place with her in it. The last time I saw her was many years ago in Barcelona...young kids...loving life.Gentle kiss to you Anna-Lisa.

This is how I most remember dear Anna-lisa - taking on adventure in whatever form it came to her!

Anna-lisa and I were close friends in high school and for a few years beyond - then lost touch as she began her thrilling and glamorous life! Her family, the Sherlocks, were like a second family to me and the two families were very close.
Anna-lisa was bright and witty, but also warm and caring. She was a loyal friend and always steered me toward a more fashionable and trendy choice of attire when I would stop in at The Wearhouse for some advice.
For our Senior Prom, it was Anna-lisa's idea to cook the meal for our dates - and her exceptional taste was exemplified even in those early years because the first course was escargot at her insistence!
She was a thoughtful and fun person to be with - although we had lost touch and were no longer close friends, I kept up with her on Facebook and was always delighted by all her worldly peregrinations and wonderful experiences. It's not the same world anymore, just knowing she has left it.
My deepest sympathy goes to Steven, Molly and Jacob, as well as to Cori and Pam and their families. May you find some peace in the coming weeks and months.

I have only just heard of Anna-Lisa's death. It makes me so very sad. She was a person to be admired on so many levels. A good friend from Junior High School, Valedictorian of our graduating class of 1972, she was so smart and intuitive and kind. She tutored me in French in her bedroom in high school above her family's store. We did community theatre together and modern dance. Creative and stylish and shrewd and devoted to her family,I am so very sorry for your loss. It is a loss to all.

Anna-Lisa and I were good friends in high school, and I was hoping to see her at our upcoming 40th Reunion. I am so, so sorry to learn of her death. There was much to admire about Anna-Lisa—her sense of style, her intelligence, her willingness to help others. But for me it was her work ethic that impressed me the most. She always worked hard—at school, at her job at the family gift shop, throughout her impressive career. She seemed able to manage so much and to do so with such grace and good will. The world won't be quite as stylish or run as smoothly without Anna-Lisa here. I extend my sincere condolences to her family.

I was very shocked to read about AnnaLisa's death. I worked with her for many years at I.Magnin's where she was the buyer in the division that I was with for many years. My prayers go out to her immediate family at this time.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to learn of AnnaLisa's death. Though we weren't close over the last quarter decade, she and her family were an integral part of my past. I can't express how sorry I am to know that she has died. My thoughts are with her husband, her children, and her sisters.
