Anne Gartner Obituary

Anne Leslie Gartner was born in Berkeley and grew up in Mill Valley, where she attended Tamalpais High School. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz in 1974 with a B.S. in Botany. She worked for many years for the US Geological Survey as a science tech, and shared a century-old cottage in Palo Alto with her partner, James Zimmerman. She was a passionate gardener, jewelry maker, Giants fan, and science fiction aficionado. Family, friends, and co-workers miss her and remember her fondly.
