We've never met but I know your brother/brother-in-law John. I caught up with him last night and he told me about Annika and gave me the URL for her website. My wife and I recently had our first child and as a new parent, I cannot fathom what you have gone through...she was a gorgeous little girl, and my heart goes out to the both of you and your entire family. Annika's picture jumped out at me yesterday, I've been broken hearted ever since. I am a mother of a 6 year old, born the same place as Annika, with the same pink card on her warmer, the same weight at birth. I cannot begin to imagine your devastation or unbearable loss. I just know I had to tell you how very sorry I am. A picture is worth a thousand words. Your pictures show the strength, love and support that is your family. Annika truly is the angel she looks like. May god comfort you and give you all strength.

I do not know you, but after reading the poignant story of your daughter Annika's life, I wanted to send my condolences to you. My neighbors lost their young daughter, barely a year old, over a year ago, and I felt it a privilege to feel the strength they exuded throughout her and their ordeal. I know it was tearing them apart on the inside. May you know there are many who send good thoughts your way in this impossible time. On another note, at a class yesterday I met a friend of Annika's grandmother or aunt, and by pure coincidence Annika's life came into our conversation...such a small world.

We came across your daughter's obituary when looking at the death notice of an older relative. Her story has touched us deeply. We are active with Relay for Life and plan to make a donation in Annika's name. Although we can't afford much we hope we can do our small part to see that someday soon no child will have to go through such an ordeal. We are so sorry for you loss.

I recently lost a life long girlfriend. She was almost 40 years old and I felt that I was robbed.I now sometimes view her geust book and I find that it brings me strength.
