Arthur was born in Kuling, China in 1932 to Jeanie Woodrow Woodbridge and James Arthur Duff. His mother was a devout Baptist, the daughter of missionaries. I met Arthur Duff on my first full time job after medical secretarial school in Boston at MGH Path Dept during his residency.
He was a very curious and bright human being and one who leaves an imprint. RIP Arthur.

I met his father in China, I think. Art lived in Pleasanton, California with Louis B. Miller on the Hurst Estate.

I met Arthur in 1957. We had 3 years of McGill and Montreal together.
We reconnected 4 years ago via correspondence.
There are many memories I would like to share with Schan and Laura,
but don’t have contact info. I would appreciate hearing from you.

I am a friend of Arthurs son, Schan, who I have known for 15 years. Although I never met Arthur, I have listened intently to stories of his remarkable life. The world is a better place for the amazing son he helped mold. May his rest be a peaceful one.

Arthur and Jeanie were friends of my parents. Jeanie was my mother's (Gay Summers Jessup) roommate at Mary Baldwin College, and they were dearest friends. They met again in Shanghai in the late 20's. In the late '40s Jeanie invited my fiancé and me to be her house guests in Calistoga (?). We met Woody then and rode horses together. I have a photo. It was a lovely weekend.
I extend my condolences to all Woody's family.
