Audrey Jones Obituary

Audrey Jones
September 22, 1936 - November 22, 2022
Audrey was born September 22nd, 1936 to Clara and Iver Monshaugen. She lived in North Dakota until she graduated from Jamestown College and married Ronald Jones. They lived in Minnesota for 5 years, after which time they were transferred to San Francisco, CA for Ron's job with Foremost McKesson.
Audrey loved her family, friends, animals, travel and books. She taught Elementary school in San Francisco for 30 years, being awarded the Christa McAuliffe Science Teacher of the Year award in 1987. She retired at the age of 55, but never stopped learning and teaching. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, Kaylen and Bryce Dalmacio. Another very willing student was Annie, her Golden Retriever, she learned commands and never was tired of showing off as they volunteered their time for the SPCA.
Audrey is survived by her livelong College Sweetheart Ron, her daughter Kris, Son-In-Law Froilan and Grandchildren Kaylen and Bryce, along with many extended family members and friends who loved her very much. Audrey asked to please continue her Kind Efforts by donating to Guide Dogs for the Blind, San Rafael, the SPCA and Glide Memorial Church, SF.

Audrey Jones was my first grade teacher at Peabody. I remember her very fondly. Once I left my headgear at school and she brought it to my house after school. But the highlight was that she came to my birthday party, with her daughter, at Mountain Lake Park. I felt very special! Love to her family.
