Barbara Bayless Obituary
August 7, 1946 - November 7, 2022
Barbara Bayless, long time Petaluma resident, passed away peacefully with her beloved daughters at her side on November 7, 2022. Barbara was born on August 7, 1946 and was raised in San Francisco. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Tom Bayless. She is survived by her children, Beth Porteous, Jill Poole and Amy O'Shea (Matt), and her grandchildren, Kyle, Amanda, Caleb, Jacob, Halas and Bonham.
Barbara loved time spent with family and good friends and enjoyed theater, art exhibitions and traveling. She cherished her life-long connections with childhood friends. She will be remembered for her compassion, humor, warmth and generous spirit and had a knack for making people feel recognized and appreciated.
The family wish to thank Dr. Dan Maloney and the staff at the Kaiser Infusion Center in San Rafael, who took excellent care of her during her long battle with cancer.
A Celebration of Life for both Barbara and Tom Bayless will be held on January 15, 2023 at noon at Petaluma Woman's Club, 518 B Street, Petaluma, CA

Dear Beth, Jill, and Amy,
This time of year is always a difficult time without our parents. We Need to take the time to just sit and think of all those wonderful memories we have. We need to share them with our loved ones as we build new family traditions and memories for our kids (and grand babies). They would want us to do this.

I met Barb when Tom brought her to my Aunt and Uncles to introduce his fiancé to our family.I was crushed! As I was planning on marrying Tom! I was probably 4-5 yrs old! I was madly in love with Tom! I was crushed! Eventually I I accepted this wonderful woman into my heart! She always held a special place there and she and Tom will always be in my . They were very patient with this little girl who was madly in love.
At every family family event if there was a baby present Barb and I caught to see who would get to be the kucky one who who who would how to hold the baby.
