I am pleased and honored to have known Barbara, Mel, Michael, Dan and Connie for 58 years.
I first met Barbara when Michael, Dan and I attended St. Ignatius College Preparatory.
Over the years, I have special memories of many social gatherings at the residential home on Ulloa Street, dining at various restaurants, and trips to Lake County.
Barbara was, indeed, more like an "Adopted Aunt" for me, as she was a wonderful role model with traditional family values.
A few years ago, when I was undergoing some life changes, Barbara not only opened her home to me - but her heart as well...and I was her tenant for 7 months residing in the downstairs bedroom formerly used by her sons.
We visited...we shared stories...we laughed a lot...and we kept one another company for which I will always be Grateful.
God bless you Barbara...as you continue...as you join Mel and your departed loved ones at the Spiritual Banquet...as you go to the Light...with Eternal Peace...and Ultimate Love!
