Benjamin Datangel Obituary

Benjamin Posadas Datangel, Sr. January 17, 1929 - November 1, 2006 Benjamin Datangel, Sr. died November 1, 2006, following a massive stroke. He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Pacita; seven children, Mercedes (Fernando), Sucgang, Nancy (Henry) Mattos, Arnel (Mercy) Datangel, Dalisay (Paul) Guinasso, Benjamin Jr. (Divina) Datangel, Salina (Edward) Sabalvaro, Jane Datangel; and 15 grandchildren. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, he will surely be missed. Benjamin was born in the Philippines; graduated from the University of the East, and retired from the U.S. Customs Service after 23 years of service. Family and friends may visit on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4, from 4-9 pm, with a Vigil Service on Saturday at 7 pm at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave., Daly City. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Angels Church, 107 San Pedro Rd., Colma on Monday, November 6 at 10 am. Committal at Cypress Lawn Cemetery, Colma.
