Also known as Bennie, Babe, G-Ma & Grandma Babe. Born in San Francisco, CA to the late Guiseppe & Margherita Genna. In Vista, CA due to COPD.
Loving wife of 60 yrs. to the late Joe J. Brand. Beloved mother of Robert (Marty) Brand & Teresa (Frank) Johnson. Adored grandmother to Scott (Crystabel), Lauren (Cody) Shandraw & Nicholas Brand, Jenna (Mike) Jones & Eric Johnson, great-grandmother to Wyatt Jones and future arrival Maverick Shandraw. Loving sister of Russ (Marie) Genna, & deceased brothers Matteo Genna (Estella deceased) and Raymond Genna.
Bennie also leaves behind her sisters-in-law, Castella Brand (James deceased), Maryann (Ken) Pfister, many relatives & friends.
Bennie was a proud member of Balboa High School Alumni and Sons of Italy. She was in touch with many of her surviving friends until her demise.
Bennie was employed at Cadillac Motor Car in SF, McDonalds Department Store in Daly City, & Heat And Control in SSF. Past resident of Daly City.
Avid cruiser, & fan of the 49'ers & NASCAR. Bennie was known for being an excellent cook.
A memorial service will be held at *TBD* at the Italian Cemetery Chapel in Colma, CA.

Benvenuta ("Bennie) Genna Brand and met in kindergarten and when though Excelsior Elementary, Monroe Grammar, James Denman Junior High and graduated in 1946 from Balboa High School. I have so many memories of Bennie which keep flooding through my mind. Jumping rope and play 'jacks' at school. Admiring her always most beautiful handwriting. She was (and always will be) my best childhood friend. When as adults and Bennie worked at Cadillac (where she met Joe Brand) we would often meet on the then Van Ness Street car. Then she went to work at Cadillac motors, and I crossed the street to work at Earle C. Anthony Packard. Today, March 31st, is Bennie's 92nd birthday. I have never forgotten that date, and never will. I hope Bennie's family will continue to keep in touch with me, and and I wish you love.
