Bernice Juliano, age 96, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday September 22. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Bill Juliano, her husband of 49 years.
Bernice was born to Edith and Leo Rugani, and raised in Visitacion Valley, San Francisco. After graduation from Commerce High School, Bernice met Bill when they both worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad. Once married, they raised their family in the Sunset District, and her family was the focus of her life.
Bernice is mourned by her four children, Steven (Jun), Gary (Linda), Susan, and David (Wendy). Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild feel a big piece of their life is missing with the loss of their "Nonna". Bernice is also survived and deeply missed by her brother Robert Rugani, sister-in-law Joy Zeiter, and seven nieces and nephews.
Every child basically plays the "mother lottery". We got lucky and came up winners. Thanks for everything, Mom.
Friends are invited for a Memorial Service, Tuesday October 7, 2025 at 11:00am at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave. Daly City, with burial at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Colma.
