Brad Johnson Obituary

Brad Johnson
Bradley Kent Johnson, 63, sadly passed away on August 13, 2024, in San Francisco from complications related to diabetes. He was loved by and is survived by his wife of 35 years, Donna Johnson; his son Alexander Johnson and daughter Samantha Johnson; his mother, Mary Ann LaFleur White; his sisters Jennifer Johnson and Amy (John) Drury; his mother-in-law, Rosetta Desler; five brothers-and sisters-in-law and ten nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Steven Johnson.
Brad was born and raised in Southern California and loved returning to Balboa Island. Brad attended Sacramento State University, earning a BS in Business Intelligence and UC Davis, earning an MBA in 1996. Brad worked in technology for 40 years across the United States, including stints in Texas, Ohio, Arizona, North Carolina, and Santa Rosa.
Brad loved the ocean and proposed to his wife of 35 years on Kauai in 1989. They settled in Cameron Park, CA where they welcomed their son, Alex in 1996. In 1997, the Johnsons made their forever home in San Francisco where their daughter Samantha was born. Brad read broadly, with a particular passion for economics, investing, politics, and history. He was an avid athlete and spent the 80s playing competitive seeded racquetball. He was a lifelong runner, hiker, and skier. A true SoCal boy, Brad spent his days in San Francisco in shorts (year-round!), running along the bay or climbing the Lyon Street Steps. His greatest joy was his extended family and friends, and he loved opening his home to them. He is fondly remembered for his epic tours of San Francisco, including many overly eager drives down Lombard Street. Brad enjoyed supporting San Francisco's baseball, basketball, and football teams-a love he shared with Donna, Alex, and Sam.
A celebration of Brad's life will be held in San Francisco at a date to be determined. Gifts or donations should be sent to Ronald McDonald House.

My name is Marcos DeLuna from Detroit,MI. I am a software consultant and worked with Brad while he was at BluestarGas in Santa Rosa. I enjoyed working along side with him. Great conversations about everything. The best was when I was in Santa Rosa and he would take me out to "Breakfast for Lunch" at a local diner. It was a true bonanza! I´ll miss him. Prayers to the family.
