I worked with Brad at the DC office of Capital for several years, and he was one of the nicest people I've ever known.

Oops - my original note disappeared into the ether - so here it is again... Brad had a wonderful perspective on life, family and his work - kept all in balance focusing on what's important but always with a long term view. He is missed. I first met Brad in 2001 as the CG telecom analyst when Skype and VOIP was growing amongst retail and consumer segments. He provided the balance and perspective by sharing the importance of the commercial market, far outweighing the retail when it came to revenue and profits. My sympathies to Brad's family and to the greater CG family - we lost a really good one.

When Brad was living in New York, he generously invited his brother, Andy and I to stay with him for a weekend while we were on break from college. He treated us to dinner at a small hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant around the corner from his apartment. The next morning we went and got bagels from a nearby deli before spending the day wandering through art galleries in SOHO. That weekend gave me an early glimpse at what an adult life could be like. I am so thankful for all the hospitality the Vogt family has shown me over the years, and I am so heartbroken that you lost Brad. His impact on the world was profound.

I remember sitting down with Brad as a new analyst. He explained to me the funds are for the investors and our average investor account per fund was something like $30K. He talked about the mission of each fund. It was always about helping other people for Brad. As a senior leader, he made it very clear we would only do well in our business if we took care of the clients first and foremost. He also was more proud of being his daughter's soccer coach than a top leader at a multi-trillion dollar asset manager, which always stuck with me. He had his priorities straight. Thank you Brad for your impeccable ethics and what you did for tens millions of Americans whose accounts you managed.

Losing Brad for us is like losing a family member. He was baptized with our daughter at Orlando Air Force Base when our families were stationed there. Although we wound up living on different coasts, we made an effort to get together as often as possible. A memorable reunion was at Greenwood Lake in NJ. Most recently we visited their lovely home in Owls Head with Susan and Jack. We send our love and prayers to his wonderful family. Suzi & Chris
