As my daughter Theresa said,I notified her with a heavy heart. Brian was the 'master of ceremonies", the one who could and would liven up any gathering. He will be missed by many friends of his and Barbara's. Joanne Durkin

My mom, Joanne Durkin, called me at home this past Saturday with the very sad news that Brian had passed away. Needless to say, we shed quite a few tears over his passing.

When I was in grade school I was very good friends with his daughter, Lisa. During one of our games, I believe it was basketball, he yelled from the stands "Turkey" thus, starting the nickname for me that carried on thru 6th, 7th, and 8th grade at St. John's in Milwaukie. We loved Brian. He was a wonderful person. We will never forget him. Our love to the family, Theresa Durkin-Tuffli
