Bryan Locke Obituary

Bryan Locke

Passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday, December 10, in Angels Camp, Calif. He was 59.

An accomplished pilot whose career spanned commercial airlines, charter companies and as a fire spotter, Bryan lived most of the last 35 years in Tuolumne County. His flying career took him all around the U.S. and all over the world, including Asia and, during the Iraq War, the Middle East. At the time of his passing he lived in Columbia, and was Chief Pilot for Courtney Aviation.

His greatest role was that of father to Lindsey Locke of Santa Cruz, who was the joy of his life and his best friend. Happily, he had reached a level of smooth skies in his life, and was planning on new adventures with Marta Boyer of Angels Camp.

Bryan grew up in Daly City and graduated from Our Lady Of Mercy Grammar School and Westmoor High. He also attended Skyline College and University of Nevada-Reno before pursuing his flight career. An expert mechanic, he was a lover of old cars, model trains and anywhere with a beach.

In addition to Lindsey, Bryan is survived his mother, Marge Locke, his sister Brenda Locke, brothers Blair (Cindy) and Barry (Kim), and nephews Cameron and Caleb Tobin, as well as countless friends he met along the way.

A celebration of Bryan's life is being planned for a later date.

I have nothing but good memories of all of you up at Incline back when.
Hope you are all doing well. God bless.

So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. My husband Dale & I were blessed to get to know him as I worked with him for a year at Courtney Aviation. He talked about you all the time, the pride of his life.
I wish you sweet memories of a great guy.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Bryan. We attended OLM together, graduating in 1970. While our paths never directly crossed again, I have fond memories of our youth's together: sports, scouting and school projects. RIP
