My heart sank when I learned of Rene´s passing. She was such a beautiful soul inside & out! We exchanged messages every holiday, including the 4th of July. She sent me the beautiful video she made for the virtual family celebration. I will cherish it even more deeply now.
I feel privileged to have known her, been considered a friend and to receive some of her prized recipes.
What a gift, Rest In Peace until we meet again.
Deepest condolences to all her loving family & friends.

" They can't take your education away from you." They can take your job away. Why not go back to college? " I am teaching this person to cope" This was a CCU pt that Renee was nursing.

Renee was wise beyond her years aslo known as an "old soul". I knew Renee at VMC many years ago. I remember Renee as smart, good sense of humor, had great sense of humor and would talk out issues on the unit with others and supervisors in a wise, thoughtful manner. She was a positive thoughtful person. Unfortunately, I lost touch with Renee when she persued her MSN at UCSF. I am missing a wonderful person and a great contributer to the nursing profession. My sincere condolences to her family.

My condolences to the family. I met Rene at Sears and we quickly became best friends and then sisters. She always had a stylish scarf tied around her neck and a big smile that made me smile when I saw her coming. I know she is in Heaven in awe. Until we meet again in Heaven - I will ALWAYS Love Her!

Rene and I worked together at StayWell where she was the Director of Clinical Service, Programs & Product Strategies. She was a passionate, dedicated leader with excellent communication skills and the highest care for patients. She was someone who was committed to continuous learning and service throughout her life. I had the good fortune to know her on a personal level and we became friends.

Rene was the most beautiful person, inside and out. She was a kind and wonderful friend and I am a better person because of who she was and what she taught me in her everyday words and actions. She always went out of her way to help other people no matter how she was feeling or struggling with her health in these last several years. Her positivity, love for her family and love for God was exemplified in her daily actions. Her faith was strong and inspirational. She celebrated all aspects of life along with any special holiday and her joy was infectious. Her friendship was important to me and I am so very grateful for having her in my life. I will miss her so very much.
