Be at peace while you remember those who loved you so much. We think of you as a brilliant, wonderful "most beautiful woman in the world!"

This is my lovely aunt - THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD. She lived up to her name - for sure. See, she lived up in Tahoe - you can see the lake in her eyes. And as bright as they are, they pale in comparison to her grace and spirit. She was the most passionate woman I've ever known. She would spend hours over coffee trying to convince me of something. She protected me when I needed it, she believed in me when no one else did, and she gave me stability in my tumultous youth. I am just her niece, one can only imagine how she felt for her children. When little Brian had his health issues, she was inconsolable that he couldn't eat fresh fruit! I'll never forget that.
At the dinner table, it was my job to make the salad dressing: a pinch of sugar - she taught me all that! Of course we burned off the calories over our after-dinner coffee discussing the topic of the day...It's funny remembering back I can clearly feel that single moment of anticipation after dinner about what that topic would be.
Carole had a quick and hearty laugh, a deep love of all of us (she had almost 20 neices and nephews on the Newsom side), and could play the piano like NOBODY'S business. The home on Sandy Way was the whole family's home and it's a huge part of my childhood memories; Jefferson Street north. I know I sound chipper remembering her, but really, I am deeply sad. I want my uncle Fred and my sweet cousins to know that all of us in SF are grieving over this. And Louise, I'm sending you a hug. She was over the moon about you.
Remember Calpurnia, Queen of the Snow and the pool room. I am truly blessed to be her niece.
