Late of San Bruno and San Mateo County resident since 1965, entered into rest at her home on September 4, 2024. Beloved wife of Dennis Lavin for 62 years. Loving mother of Steve Lavin (his wife Donna) and Sheri Darling (her husband Jim). Preceded in death by her father Elmer Schivo, and raised by Peter J. and Mary Marino. Dear sister of Frances Harden (her husband Steve) and the late Paula Marino. Also survived by her 3 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, her nephews Rick and Jarrod, her cousins Carl and Stella, her late aunt Bina Bellante along with numerous other relatives and dear friends including her best friend of 72 years Carol Harrison. A special thank you to her caregivers especially Brenda and Ulu along with her Sutter Hospice care team.
A native of San Francisco, California, age 83 years.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 after 4:00 PM at CHAPEL OF THE HIGHLANDS, El Camino Real at 194 Millwood Drive in Millbrae, with a Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Saint Robert Catholic Church in San Bruno. Committal will follow at the Italian Cemetery in Colma.
Her family appreciates donations to Sutter Care at Home Hospice at www.suttercareathome.org.
