Charles DeYoung Obituary

DeYOUNG, Charles K. "Bud" - 87, was born in Stockton, CA., February 2, 1918 and passed away in Stockton, April 26, 2005. Mr. DeYoung attended St. Mary's High School, class of 1935. He attended Santa Clara University and graduated from the California College of Mortuary Science in 1938. Bud went into partnership with his father, C.C. DeYoung in 1946 and has been connected with DeYoung Memorial Funeral Chapel in Stockton for over sixty years. Mr. DeYoung was a past president of the California Funeral Directors Association. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Dora (Chichi) DeYoung of Stockton; son of the late C.C. and Anne DeYoung; loving brother of the late Kathleen Heffernan, Betty Doneux, Marie Lechich and Nell Stephens. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke's Catholic Church, 3847 N. Sutter St., Stockton, CA., Monday, May 2, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. There will be visitation at the DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA., Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Committal will be at the San Joaquin Catholic Cemetery. Family suggests memorial contributions in his memory be made to St. Mary's Interfaith Dining Hall, P.O. Box 133, Stockton, CA., 95201-0133 or St. Mary's High School, P.O. Box 7247, Stockton, CA., 95267. DeYoung Memorial Chapel 601 N. California St. Stockton, CA. 95202 209-466-8075
