Charles M. "Chuck" Meighen

October 20, 1921 - January 31, 2017

Charles M. "Chuck" Meighen, 95, passed away Tuesday in a local care home following a long illness. He was born in Waynesburg, PA to Patrick & Mary Katherine Tansey Meighen, the 6th of 8 siblings.

Chuck served in the U.S. Army Air Corp for all of World War II mostly stationed in India with the 1st Air Commando Group and later in the U.S.Air Force during the Cold War. After his discharge, Charles worked as an accountant for more than 40 years. He was a longtime member of St. Brigid's Church in San Francisco.

Chuck is survived by his sister in law Sara Meighen as well as nieces and a nephew. His warm smile and happy laugh will be dearly missed. Please remember him and his family in your prayers.

A Memorial Mass will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 6th at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 2390 Bush Street, San Francisco. Burial with military honors will be held at St. Anne's Cemetery, Waynesburg, PA. Arrangements are under the direction of Passalacqua Funeral Chapel, Benicia.
